Privacy policy

Last updated 27 September 2026. Marble Cinema ("we", "us") is a sole-trader business trading as Marble Cinema, ABN 23 448 593 086, Melbourne, Australia. We take reasonable steps to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and, where we serve clients in the United Kingdom, the EU or the United States, with the privacy laws that apply to them.

1. What we collect

Contact and business details you give us: name, agency, email, phone, billing address, ABN.
Order material: listing links, photographs, floorplans, listing copy and branding you supply or direct us to.
Payment information: we see the payer name and reference on bank transfers. We do not store card numbers; card payments, where offered, are processed by a third-party provider.
Website data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) and any details you type into our enquiry form. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting tool that does not track you across sites.

2. Why we collect it

To respond to enquiries, quote and produce your Deliverables, invoice you, meet our record-keeping obligations, and improve our service. We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

3. Who we share it with

Processing providers. We use third-party AI video and image tools, cloud storage, website hosting and email services to produce and deliver your order. Some of these providers are located outside Australia, including in the United States and Singapore, and their terms may allow them to keep or use uploaded material. We share only what is needed for the order and remove your material from these services once it is delivered.
Business tools. Email, invoicing and file-transfer services we use to run the business.
Contractors. Quality reviewers working under confidentiality obligations, who see order material only for the purpose of checking it.
When required by law.

We do not publish your material or Deliverables, including on our own website or social media, without your written permission.

Unpublished listings. Because some AI tools treat uploaded material as non-confidential, we work from photographs that are already publicly listed. If you need us to work on an off-market or pre-launch listing, tell us first and we will agree how the material is handled before anything is uploaded.

4. Listing photographs and people in them

Listing photographs occasionally contain people, vehicles, personal items or visible documents. We use the photographs only to produce your Deliverable, do not attempt to identify anyone in them, and delete the source files in line with section 6. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to supply the photographs to us.

5. Security

Order material is stored on access-controlled cloud storage and transferred over encrypted connections. Access is limited to the people producing and checking your order. No internet transmission is completely secure; tell us promptly if you believe your information has been compromised.

6. Retention

Source photographs and working files: deleted within 60 days of delivery unless you ask us to keep them for a revision or a further order.
Final Deliverables: kept for 12 months so we can re-supply them, then deleted.
Invoices, contact details and correspondence: kept for 5 years, as required by Australian tax law.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete order material early, or opt out of any communication, by emailing hello@marblecinema.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the rights set out in the UK GDPR and GDPR, including the right to complain to your supervisory authority. If you are unhappy with how we handle a privacy complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
